Hello all,

I’ve been having chest pains lately, but I’ve also been going to the gym and thought I’ve over done it. Anyway I’m wanting to go to a doctor to have them check everything out. Currently they are over the right breast ribcage.

In the meantime, I’ve loosened my bra, and have been doing more stretches to try to see if that would help.

I live along the Chuo line so Shinjuku would be the best place unless there are good doctors in Tachikawa or Hachioji.

Thanks!

Hello

I had terrible chest pains two years ago which inspired me to research chest pain in depth.  I’m a medical researcher and own a health education company-we provide health education free of charge via blog, You Tube films, etc.  I’ve also been a member of intergrated /preventative/natural medicine organisations for a number of years.  I also did paid journalism and was a member of foregin correspondents for a number of years (latest article HOW TO MAKE JAPAN HEALTHY in Tokyo Shinbun Newpaper) but I stopped writing for the traitional press as they constrain truth too much.

I was born in Moscow Russia-Russians usually know about natural medicine(not alcohol!)-noone goes to the doctor with colds like they do in Japan.  Maybe now they do-I don’t know.  I’m 39 & left Russia for NZ 20 years ago.  NZ has knowledge about natural healing of colds but not much knowledge abot other health compared to what Russians know.  I’m sorry for stereotyping but sometimes it helps to understand or to teach.

I’ve been a medical researcher since the age of 5-my first desired gift was a real doctor set (not toys-real things including real blood testing set) and my favorite book since the age of 5 or so was medical encyclopedia which I used to check whenever I heard someone was sick (I could read at the age of 4 or so in Russian and at the age of 7 or so in English as well although I did not know many English words at the start).  Even at kindergarten I was popular with injured kids and even teachers as they knew I was faster helping heal someone who fell and was bleading than real doctors who were always late arriving at the scene.  The only warning I had was not to to blood tests with real needles but I did them only once only on myself.  I only remember having two dolls as a child and my first aid kit was my main companion on all trips.

Many things stopped making sence to me as I observed Eastern and Western medicine for all these years.  I incorporated my company in 2003 in Japan in attempt to inspire Japanese people depend on medicinal drugs as many Japanese go for colds to the doctor getting at least 3to 5 types of medicine.  Normally stomach medicine is included in Japanese cold medicine set prescribed by doctors.  They say that cold medicine damages stomach so they treat stomach at the same time.  You may be aware that Japan has a very high rate of stomach cancer but I am not sure if many know how cold medicine has been affecting it as most Japanese know cold medicine damages stomach.  I’m sure you understand that stomach damage leads to cancer.  But people who can’t link maybe suffer from brain damage-another bad side effect of cold medicines which are easily found through Google.

Back to chest pain research.  The best info I found (as nothing else worked) was that chest represents family or stress.  Stress has to be eliminated.  The book “How To Think Like Leonardo Da Vinci” helped me see where my stress was based.  The book had an exercise where you have to ask yourself 100 questions that jump into your head and do it instantly-without thinking.  You have to write them down.  I sat in the bath and wrote my 100 questions in about 30-40 minutes.  Then I had to put them into groups by topics and analyse topics.  I was shocked to see that 95 questions=95% of my brain-were about stress in my married life.  My ex refused to go to psychologist or councellor so I insisted on divorce.

My pain chest 2 years ago came every time I thought of my ex Japanese boyfriend and my Mother.  Got rid of the boyfriend but still have pain sometimes thinking of how much money I paid him for dating me.  I get chest pains when I argue with my Mum who hates my lyrics/poetry.  She doesn’t want anyone read what I write.  It puts me in pain every time I hear it on the phone or even think about it.  I still don’t know how to heal stress with my Mum.  Medicine will not heal that for me.

I also have MJ chest pains but I’ll write that on Twitter as this is long already.

Get them to check your heart.  They have technology for it.  Do your blood tests at the doctors.  Make sure there are no chronic heart illnesses.  If they prescribe medicine, ask exactly what it is.  Google “side effects MEDICINE NAME” to make sure you understand your medicine.  1 in 5 people have side effects or maybe more.  “A lot of side effects are not known of” -they say on medical sites.  Beware of anti-depressants -about same healing rate as dummy pills but side effects BAD and also they’re addictive like hard drugs-reearch was published in Newsweek earlier this year.  Preventing and treating depression has been my main rearch field in the last 2-3 years after my Yubari book became a textbook at a mental clinic depression recovery course.  I helped there teach as a volunteer for 10 mohths and also started hiring people suffering from depression-those who attempted suicides.

My only brother maybe murdered-maybe suicide in 1996-I still don’t know.  He inspired me to research suicide and also all but one friends of my ex husband-all suicides.

CHECK YOUR HEART+YOUR STRESS ORIGINS+RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEOPLE AND FAMILY-HEAL THEM.  UNDERSTAND WHAT MEDICINE YOU TAKE AND ITS SIDE EFFECTS.

You say you exercise at the gym.  For me gyms are stressful places.  Chuck Wilson fitness coach helped me fix my back problem but every time I went to Chuck’s gym in Tokyo the Coke vending machine inside the gym stressed me out.  Chuck also said it was crazy to install one there.  I now exercise daily in the park.  I pick time when noone is there as often men stop and watch me like free a show which is stressful.  But I do Billie Jean with some hard kicks towards them, and that usually chases them away.  Nature and MJ music are my medicine for chest pain.  I’m vegan now and eat mostly organic food.  I stopped all black tea and coffee in Mar 2010 which also trigger high blood pressure and chest pain.

HEALTH 2U-Copied this 2my blog 4everyone-thanks!

I’ve also been going to the gym and thought I’ve over done it.!

Question if you don’t mind me asking.  What was 1) the reason for going to the gym, 2) the reason for overdoing it?  For example weight loss, stress relief, socialization, trying to fix an illness, kill time, escape, fun time.  Undertanding the reasons should help to ease or understand pain.  Many oeople take medicine without understanding the real cause of an illness, and often get more sick.  Medical books say that most illnesses are caused by stress (80%?more?).  The way to eradicate stress is self-EDUCATION.  Education either heals or kills.  I’ve heard of a number of doctors who hate educated patients who research their own illnesses online.  I wouldn’t go to such doctors.

You don’t need to answer my questions if you don’t want to.  They are for you.  My pain maybe was different from yours.  Mine was on the left -heart.  You say yours is on the right.  The chest is the upper part of the torso that houses the heart and lungs.  Make sure to CHECK YOUR LUNGS apart from your heart.  You might need to see a specialist.  I trust you don’t smoke, and I also trust you have a healthy diet.  If not, follow us in the FOOD thread “Oats and Beans”.  If you smoke with pain on the right of your chest, stop smoking before you get lung cancer or infect others with smoking as they say it’s more harmful for non-smoking inhalers sometimes.

BILLIE JEAN health wishing you HEALTH

To try to answer your questions:
Joined the gym to lose weight and hear more Japanese being spoken
Don’t smoke

Stress items:
Not having a full time job
having to teach English instead of having a real job
everyone wants to practice their English with me
going to the gym to hear Japanese and instead get people speaking English
boyfriend always speaks English when he even speaks to me
boyfriend always working or in his room instead of being with me
not having any Japanese speaking friends
studying for the JLPT in Dec so I can get a real job
tired of these ignorant Japanese thinking it’s a miracle that I can even read and write kanji

This is a list of English speaking doctors that is a year old.  It might be helpful.  http://www.realestate-tokyo.com/info/hospital/
You should probably get that checked out pretty soon.

Have you tried joining a club or circle here?  I joined a basketball club when I first got here and no one even attempted to speak English to me and my Japanese was terrible at the time.

Thanks untmdsprt for answering my questions.  I’m having chest pain now-just heard that my Sapporo friend Kimberly died from breast cancer. She was 42 or 44.  She loved dairy products-main cause of breast cancer according to Japanese specialist hospital.  She became vegan last year-earlier than me-and was first vegan who inspired me to think about it-MJ book MOOWALK made me vegan overnight-MJ wrote there about being vegetarian.

I was 55kg last year-now I weigh about 49kg. All people around me think I lost weight in half a year because I became vegan.  I do not diet.  I eat 3 meals a day and for extra snacks I eat fruit or some nuts or prganic pumpkin seeds if really hungry.  I very rarely buy anko mochi vegan desert & only small or eat half if it’s big.  I do MJ fitness daily min of 30mins-sometimes 1 or 2hrs.  Portion size is important-KiaOra thriller film series on my channel show healthy portion size of my daily meals.  Don’t watch if thrillers scare you or turn off just after you see the food as I start those films with vegan meals.  BIG people overeat.  My ex husband was 140kg, my Mum is 100kg now with about the same height as me 160cm.  I researched weight loss for them, and I used to weigh 65kg, until the age of 20.  Food is the big factor for healthy weight-bigger than fitness maybe.

Glad you don’t smoke.  But you can get lung cancer if you have smokers around you.  You must check your lungs just in case.

>>going to the gym to hear Japanese and instead get people speaking English

Gym?  Supermarkets might be a better place.  They speak only Japanese at my supermarkets.  Go and ask shoppers how to use tofu or kombu or daikon or other healthy ingredients.  Go and read labels on food to see if it’s healthy.  Try reading udon packets-they have all sorts of bad addictives believe it or not.  Or even easier-read what Coca Cola ingredients label says.  Or Pepsi, Fanta, sports drinks, protein or energy drinks/bars, or packets of cold medicines.  Become a health freak and then hopefully small things stop pestering you.  Then you should be able to focus on big things including job.  Hope you’re doing GOOD things at work.  People who sell food containing poison (coke etc.) aren’t doing GOOD things as they sell food that poisons us.  Doing BAD things at work will make you ill without even realising it.  Punishment from Nature I think.  We have to awake to what’s GOOD and what’s BAD.  I’ve noticed that many admire successful companies which sell BAD things.  I also used to admire them.  Not any more.  GOOD is the only way to live one’s life.

Life’s short.  My brother gone at 32.  Kimberly is gone at 40 something.  I so hope MJ is still alive.  Not time for BAD in our lives any more.

crying with my chest pain over Kimberly’s death news listening to STRANGER IN MOSCOW MJ song

FOOD HEALS
FOOD ALSO KILLS
LABELS WE DON’T READ
COZ NO NEED
WE JUST EAT
IT’S OUR GREED?
CRAZY INDEED
(just changed music to THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US MJ song)

THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US
SPORTS CLUBS
SPORTS DRINKS
ENERGY BARS
SPORTS FOOD PROTEIN
IS LIKE MORPHINE
POISONING US
WHY NOONE TELLS US
VENDING MACHINES AT CLUBS
WHAT ARE THEY SELLING US
WHAT ARE THEY TELLING US

BRAINWASHING US
CONTROLLING OUR LIVES
THEY WANT TO KILL US?
THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US

MJ YOU SHED YOUR LIGHT ON US
YOU ALWAYS CARED ABOUT US
BUT OUR BRAINS ROTTED WITH BAD FOOD
SO WE NEVER UNDERSTOOD
WHAT YOU TAUGHT US

THIS IS IT
MAN IN THE MIRROR
CHANGE IT
“MAKE THAT CHANGE
MAN IN THE MIRROR” (MJ words last two lines)

Lyrics came to me as I was writig here listening to MJ thinking of Kimberly trying not to cry over her passing away.  Lyrics for MJ and Kimberly Awao.

Thank you Broads.  Copied this to my blog.  Lyrics also go separately into LYRICS FROM MJ category.

HEALing THE WORLD starting with our health

WEIGHT LOSS=HEALTHY PORTION SIZE+WHAT YOU EAT+WHAT YOU SNACK+WHAT YOU DRINK=EDUCATION+WILL POWER (last one could be tricky-I’m not an expert on that…)

Went and got checked today. My heart, lungs and ribs are all fine. It’s just stress related. I’ve been studying hard so I can increase my Japanese level for Dec, and also I keep getting all these f***ing ignorant questions from both Japanese and now Chinese people regarding kanji and learning Japanese in general. Are all Asians just negative toward Western people learning their language? Are they THAT bad in English that they have to put me down?

Doing better, and yes I drink coffee.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Japanese and Chinese people are amazed that a Western person can learn kanji, and they just need to deal with that fact. That was the biggest source of irritation is to hear that kanji must be difficult for me. In what way? You can’t expect me to learn 2000+ kanji overnight. They certainly didn’t. I think hearing all this bullshit had finally gotten to me. These people are probably failures in their own lives and so by putting me down, they try to build themselves up.

I’ve since gotten back to a routine of studying, ignoring these morons, and plan to take whatever level of the JLPT that I feel comfortable in passing. I was shooting for N2, but if I can get to N3 and pass, then I’ll feel like I’ve accomplished something.

This may be my last year or so in Japan, because I’m burnt out on teaching English, and my visa expires in March 2012. I don’t particularly want to go back to the states, but if my Japanese isn’t up to par with getting a better job here, then I’ll have to. I guess that is also adding to the stress. I was hoping that I could get a better paying job so I can start traveling to other countries here.

Broads only allows small pictures.  It’s really hard for me to shrink pics for Broads as I like communicating with pictures.  It takes so much time!

The pic for coffee is on the Wikipedia link I put above.  My blog has PETER PAN CHILDEN category where I help educate children and adults about health.
http://www.it-for-all.com/health-for-all/blog/10/peter_pan_children/

Hope you check it once in a while. Fluffy girl made a comment there that I need a glossry to explain terms like BILLIE JEAN BRAIN. Working on it.  BILLIE JEAN BRAIN for me is someone who cares only about personal pleasure/self-satisfaction and ignores everything else. I used to be like that until I became vegan in March 2010. I didn’t care about Earth health-only about me and my customers. I woke up thanks to MJ.  And feel healthy now and look younger as some told me-especially with my new short haircut MJ style.

Food is the big secret to health-not only us but the whole Earth. BAD food kills health.

Join my Facebook if you like-I have pictures and films there about what we’re talking here. Natalia Roschina is the name.  Only been on it for about 10 days or so but it’s interesting.

Hope you don’t drink Coke or any other soft or sports drinks.  My latest You Tube film is about it. If you drink and you have chest pain, you better stop those drinks and alcohol.  I used to drink a lot.  When I was a student 18-19 or so, I used to get drunk at lunch time almost daily. I stopped tasting alcohol this year so zero alcohol now.  For the last 8 years or so I had a few glasses of wine/Baileys a year. I stopped on New Year’s night 2010-last drink was in Berlin by Bradenburg Gate.  I got it as a gift from MJ fans in the street.  It is sad to think that young people give alcohold as gifts. I guess I’ve matured a bit since January.  Alcohol causes all sorts of cancer-I only learnt it recently.  And it kills of course. My brother, my father, Princess Diana-the list could get very long (Diana’s driver was drunk so it kills on a big scale)...

Thanks for the invite but I don’t have the time or the money to do anything. I’m studying for the JLPT in Dec and will be under a strict no English rule until after the test.

Hello, untmdsprt. Maybe I could start a Japanese corner for you and others.  I write lyrics in Japanese so could post them.

I never got even to see Arnold Schwarzenegger as his security “arrested” me even before the event started.  I brought sunflowers for him from Hokkaido (favorite MJ flowers and MJ was friendly with AS I thought)- security thought I was going to throw flowers at him, and hurt him with my toy water gun which I always dance with so they locked me up in a room hurtning and pushing me before getting me into a room where they verbally bullied me.  It’s a real chest pain story.  They kept asking me “Why did you bring flowers? Why do you do things others don’t do?”

Coz I have a heart.  Not sure where they left their heart.  I gues having a heart gives us chest pains sometimes…

It was the only reason why I flew to Tokyo.  Wasted money on my tickets and hotel.  Gave flowers to my friend-Tokyo Vice Governor Inose Naoki who happily accepted them without an appointment. I still have my respect for Arnold Schwarzenegger but at least two out of his 4 security need to be fired for bullying, lies and humiliation.

Sorry for chest pain offtopic.
